And it’s 24″W X 14″H, to give you an idea of how big that is, 24″ is approximately the width of my refrigerator! It is also in Buffalo, which means this thing weighs a ton empty. I guess it is great for overnighters or car trips so if someone did want to get this for me for Valentine’s or my birthday, I would be a very happy and appreciative wife However, if you’re serious, make sure to take a closer look at my Valentine Wish List, which also acts as my Birthday Wish List =) I am having issues with the price though, not sure if $2295 is a smart investment for a bag that will be thrown around and thrashed. Is it me or does this Mitzy hobo from Mulberry look very similar to the iconic YSLMombasa bag from the late 90’s?  Take away the ruching and the logo plate and you have an exact replica down to the horn like handles (except theirs is fashioned out of leather, quite clever actually).  Of course the price is way less than the original at $695 but still not dirt cheap.  I don’t know, this is not doing it for me.  What do you think?  Snob or Slob?  Mulberry Creased Patent Mitzy Hobo here.

Calling this bag the “Easy” could not be more appropriate. I mean how easy is it to stick a giant Y logo on a bag and call it a day?  And it’s not as if they designed a creative new shape– it’s just your average boston style duffel with a logo on it.

Sorry YSL, the bag just doesn’t do it for me. I do like the pailette print on patent leather but real sequins would have been better– at least it would have been unexpected and exciting.

YSL not only makes the coolest bags of our generation; they give them the coolest names, too. This super fly chain mail bag is simply called the “Seven”.  (And yes, we actually do want to carry it 24/7). Made in simple granada black leather, it is the perfect combination of wild and chic. This has all the coolness of YSL but it isn’t exactly making me swoon. All the hardware and excessive details aren’t bad, it’s just a bit much for me. There is a very urban feel that paired with a casual style on a young girl would be very chic indeed. I don’t know, I am losing interest in YSL, could my intense love for them go dim so quickly and easily? They really need to come up with something really kick ass for me to come back but asking them to do an entire collection with the likes of the Muse and Marjorelle is a tall order. Or is it?
